Be Thou Our Vision

Luan is getting stronger physically and is now able to go downstairs for her lunch--a big improvement from two weeks ago when she had to be helped to sit up in bed. The doc who seen her 2 days ago was satisfied with her steady recovery from her near fatal infection last month. My load for caring for her has eased considerably and I am able to leave her alone for a short period of time. We thank God for the sisters from our church and few others from several other churches who have been provided meals (lunch and dinner) on wheel since her discharge two weeks ago.
Our ever grateful thanks for standing with us in prayers--it is uplifting to us to be reassured--no matter how many times people had told us. From another source we hear of a dear Malaysian friend of ours who had requested prayers for us in a Vancouver’s church he preached in. We thank God for those of you whom we have never met but are upholding us in prayers. We are sorry as we are unable to reply to all of you who write personally.

A dear Christian couple sent us the words of this song of prayer:

"I feel Your peace
You’re here with me
You bring me all I need
Lord breathe on me
And as I wait
Draw near to me
My soul it longs for You to breathe on me"

Indeed, through the darkest night, our Lord has never leave or forsake us—He is always there and as we reach out for His hands—we experienced deep peace. And as we wait for God to heal Luan of cancer, we trust in His perfect timing. Surrounded by many witnesses of faith who cheer us on, I fix my eyes on Jesus as I walk on waters—though like Peter there were times of doubt (when this walk is taking much longer than I expected!) and I started to sink but He is always gracious to lift me up and keep me walking towards Him.

Dear Lord,

How is aunty Luan now? I wonder how she is at the moment. Can you please take care of her and comfort her? Father Lord, I pray that you will give her good sleep every night. I trust your healing hands will make her well again.

In-Christ name, Amen
