From Luan Update 7

Chris & Luan came back to KL on Sat 26 Aug. She checked into Pantai Medical Centre yesterday, 28 Aug. She will be going in for her operation at 1 pm this afternoon.

The operating team will comprise Dr Lam, (urologist) who will be inserting a stent in the ureter which has been pressed in by the tumour; Dr Wong (gynae oncologist) who will remove the tumour mass and Dr Lee (gen. surgeon) who will do the colostomy. Dr Das is the anaesthesiologist.

Luan was given blood transfusion last night to raise her haemogoblin level and placed on a fluid diet.

Let us pray
· for God’s hand to guide each member of the team
· for a clean and complete removal of the tumour mass (no rupture)
· that the colostomy will be temporary & there will be no need for a resection of the colon (which will mean a permanent colostomy)
· no complications
· no allergic reactions
· quick recovery

• that the ureter and kidney which has been swollen (because of the tumour pressing against it) will return to normal
• that the colon will heal and return to functioning normally

· Luan will be strengthened in her body
· God’s peace on Chris, Chung En and Hui En
Can we also pray that there will be no need for further chemotherapy?
